Have you come across a traffic signal and do not know its meaning? Well, believe it or not, this often happens. You can always ask a police officer or a person who is nearby about the meaning of the sign, but to become a good driver it is important that you know them beforehand. That is why in this article we will share the traffic signs and their meaning.

Road signs

There are three types of traffic signals:

• Preventive
• Restrictive
• Informative
• Vertical signs
• Horizontal markings

Horizontal signs are all those that are applied or painted on the pavement, while vertical signs are those made of metal and installed on posts. The signs, preventive, informative and regulatory, fall within this classification.

Preventive traffic signs

They are the yellow with black signals that are intended to warn drivers about any danger or change in the road.

It is used to indicate left or right turns that are less than 90 degrees.

Like the previous one, this type of traffic signal is used to indicate curves to the right or left with a curvature greater than 90 degrees.

 

Sinuous road

It means the presence of two or more reverse curves in the road.

Sinuous curve

This traffic signal is used to indicate two continuous curves going in the opposite direction.

Counter curve

This sign indicates the presence of two continuous curves where the first one is closed.

Delta junction

It is used to mark an intersection of three roads. The main road will be the widest line, while the secondary ones will have a narrower line.

Roundabout

Warns about the presence of a roundabout where at least two paths meet.

Double circulation

The sign is used to mark the change from one-way traffic to two-way traffic.
